Position Overview/Responsibilities for the Authorization Rep (Santa Monica, CA):
Serve as the primary contact for patient relations, both in person and over the phone, ensuring a positive experience. Manage the submission of authorizations for orthopedic procedures and surgeries, utilizing your expertise in CPT and ICD-10 codes. Verify patient demographics and insurance information using CS-Link/Epic, and handle patient/provider correspondence. Schedule appointments, process referrals, and track authorizations for various insurance types. Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to department guidelines.
Required Skills for Authorization Rep (Santa Monica, CA):
Minimum of 2 years of experience with CPT codes and authorizations for orthopedic procedures. Familiarity with ICD-10 codes and experience in an outpatient clinic or medical office setting. Strong ability to follow detailed oral and written instructions. Experience with CS-Link/Epic and handling Work Comp claims is preferred.
