IDR is seeking a AWS Contact Center Engineer to join one of our top clients for an opportunity in Sacramento, CA. This role involves working in a dynamic contact center technology environment within the government sector, focused on system integration, voice architecture, and automation. Position Overview for the AWS Contact Center Engineer:
- Provide engineering support for the operations, enhancement, and optimization of the AWS Connect-based contact center environment.
- Design, implement, and maintain integrations between AWS Connect and CRMs such as Salesforce or Zendesk, as well as other custom business applications.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (network, voice, UC, and application teams) to ensure seamless end-to-end performance of contact center technologies.
- Support PSTN, carrier, and telephony configurations to ensure high availability and call quality.
- Develop and maintain Lambda functions, APIs, and automation scripts (Python, JavaScript) to extend AWS Connect functionality.
Requirements for the AWS Contact Center Engineer:
- 7–8 years in contact center engineering, system integration, or similar roles.
- Advanced, hands-on configuration and customization experience.
- Deep understanding of PSTN, SIP, carrier routing, and contact center voice architecture.
- Proficiency in Python and JavaScript for system automation and API integrations.
- Strong experience integrating AWS Connect with CRMs such as Salesforce or Zendesk, and understanding of UC platforms and network design for high-volume contact centers.
