IDR is seeking an Install Technician to join one of our top clients for an opportunity in San Marcos, TX. This role involves supporting security infrastructure upgrades across multiple facilities. The organization is focused on enhancing safety through advanced security systems.
Position Overview for the Install Technician:
- Install, maintain, and troubleshoot access control and CCTV systems across campus buildings
- Use hand tools to secure cameras and hardware in various environments
- Work at heights using ladders and lifts to reach installation sites
- Collaborate with the university’s IT and security teams to ensure system functionality
- Follow safety protocols and utilize PPE as required
Requirements for the Install Technician:
- 2+ years of experience installing and maintaining access control and CCTV systems
- Knowledge of low-voltage cabling and basic IP networking
- Skilled in using hand tools for installing, securing, and troubleshooting equipment
- Comfortable working at heights via ladders and lifts
- Valid Driver’s License and clean driving record
