Position Title: Manufacturing Test Infrastructure Engineer
Location: Santa Clara, California (Fully Onsite)
Start Date: ASAP
Job Duration: 6+ months rolling contract, W2

Project Details:
A leading networking company is looking for a Test Infrastructure Engineer with strong software development and automation experience to help drive and sustain product development. This person will be part of the Manufacturing Test team, working closely with Engineering, Platform Design, and CM and DF partners. This high-visibility group ensures that every product shipped to customers works perfectly by developing and maintaining scalable test systems that validate hardware performance and reliability before it reaches end users. You’ll work directly with global manufacturing partners, investigate real-time test failures, and contribute to improving test efficiency.

This is an ideal opportunity for someone with 1-3 years of programming, infrastructure, and automation experience who is detail-oriented, proactive, and passionate about delivering high-quality products to customers.

Must Have Skills:
  1. 1-3+ years of experience in software development or test automation, preferably in a hardware or manufacturing environment
  2. Strong experience with python or go with an understanding of object-oriented programming – must have experience with scripting for automation
  3. Working knowledge of Linux and Linux-based environments (OS install, services configuration, package deployment)
  4. Strong understanding of SQL based databases (MariaDB, MySQL)
  5. Understanding of fundamental networking concepts- understands how to connect remotely to servers and execute commands, as well as, troubleshoot issues
  6. Comfortable analyzing test failures and determining root cause
  7. Background in system-level testing or testing customer-facing hardware products
  8. Experience reading and interpreting hardware specifications and schematics

Nice to Have Skills:
  1. Experience in a manufacturing test environment
  2. Familiarity with liquid cooling systems
  3. Experience working with CM and DF partners
  4. Familiarity with configuration management tools, e.g. SaltStack or Ansible
  5. Knowledge of data visualization techniques and dashboard tools to view test data

Education/Certification Requirements:
B.S. Computer Science (or similar engineering degree)
