Dexian Government Solutions is recruiting for a Network Administrator II to support our proposal effort for the DHA Geographic Service Providers in Langley AFB, Virginia.
Position Overview:
- The Network Administrator II provides network administration and operational support for Defense Health Agency (DHA) Military Treatment Facilities (MTFs), ensuring the availability, performance, and security of enterprise network infrastructure. This position is responsible for maintaining, monitoring, troubleshooting, and supporting local and wide area network environments that enable critical healthcare and business operations.
- The Network Administrator II supports network devices, connectivity services, and infrastructure components while assisting with system upgrades, configuration management, and cybersecurity compliance requirements. The role works closely with Government stakeholders and IT teams to resolve network issues, maintain reliable communications, and ensure secure and efficient network operations across the healthcare enterprise.
Functional Responsibility:
- Designated with managing and coordinating delivery and performance for Langley (633rd Medical Group): Support Locations - Langley.
- Act as the lead Network Administrator, guiding IT service delivery teams, overseeing network infrastructure, and ensuring compliance with PWS requirements and performance objectives
- Serve as the primary escalation point for complex network issues, optimize network performance through regular assessments, and implement improvements to enhance reliability and efficiency
- Work closely with stakeholders to align network operations with organizational goals, maintain detailed documentation, and uphold security policies and compliance standards.
- Deploys and sustains LAN/WLAN/WAN; performs daily monitoring, capacity analysis, and security posture maintenance.
- Documents all aspects of network engineering: build, configuration, testing, deployment.
- Plans, coordinates, and implement security measures to safeguard new and existing networks.
- Performs network modeling, analysis, planning; configure switches for multicast routing and high availability.
- Coordinates changes with network administrators and stakeholders; assists with complex troubleshooting.
- Must support rotating On-Call/Call-Back schedule (24x7x365, ~1 week on-call every 6 weeks).
- Supports Standard Telecommunications: voice/data cable installation, testing, and management.
- Works closely with stakeholders to align network ops with organizational goals; maintains detailed documentation.
- Contributes to Monthly Progress Report.
The role requires experience:
- 4 Years progressive applicable IT experience.
- Managing and maintaining network infrastructure, including installation, configuration, and optimization of network systems to meet current and future operational needs.
- Ability to lead and coordinate ensuring that all network operations adhere to performance objectives, industry standards, and best practices.
- Daily performance monitoring, capacity analysis, and security posture maintenance of networks.
- Creates SOPs, maintenance guides, and knowledge base articles for network operational upkeep.
- Intermediate experience administering enterprise network infrastructure supporting DHA/DoD operations.
- Experience supporting routers, switches, network appliances, structured network environments, and enterprise connectivity.
- Experience monitoring and maintaining LAN/WAN connectivity and network availability.
- Experience supporting telecommunications systems and network-connected infrastructure.
- Experience diagnosing and resolving network connectivity, routing, switching, and communications issues.
- Experience supporting secure network environments, vulnerability remediation, STIG implementation, and compliance with DHA/DoD cybersecurity requirements.
- Experience supporting CAC/PKI-enabled environments and network authentication services.
- Experience installing, configuring, upgrading, and maintaining network devices and associated hardware.
- Experience maintaining network diagrams, configuration documentation, change records, and operational reporting.
- Experience using ITSM/service desk systems for incident management, problem resolution, and service request tracking.
- Experience supporting DHA, DoD, or healthcare IT environments is preferred due to Military Treatment Facility operational requirements.
- Experience providing technical support and coordination with Government stakeholders, IT staff, and operational users.
- Supports operational reporting, SLA tracking, network status reporting, and documentation requirements.
- Ensure reliable enterprise network connectivity supporting mission-critical healthcare operations with minimal downtime or disruption.
- Bachelor's degree and/or equivalency
- ITIL 4 Foundation (PREFERRED).
Certification Requirements: IAT II Certified is Required to Start
Clearance Requirements: Interim Secret Clearance and DHA CAC required to Start.
