Position Overview/Responsibilities for the Patient Service Representative (Santa Monica, CA):
Serve as the primary contact for patient interactions, both in person and over the phone. Assist with patient check-ins and check-outs, including collecting co-payments and providing receipts. Verify and update patient demographics and insurance details using CS-Link/Epic. Schedule appointments, manage patient registration, and process referrals and authorizations. Maintain communication with patients and providers, addressing concerns and explaining policies.
Required Skills for Patient Service Representative (Santa Monica, CA):
Experience with medical insurance processes, including referrals and benefit plans. At least two years of recent experience in an outpatient clinic or medical office setting. Proficiency in reading, understanding, and responding to detailed instructions. Ability to type 35-40 words per minute.
