Position Overview/Responsibilities for the Payroll Analyst:
Support the payroll team in the analysis and processing of payroll to ensure accuracy and compliance with all applicable state and federal wage and hour laws.
Assist in the overall improvement of payroll processing efficiency and accuracy.
Verify and validate payroll tax application and lead the reconciliation of payroll tax accounts.
Perform research of newly imposed payroll taxes to provide proper guidance and understanding of correct application.
Assist with setting up new locations with local payroll tax withholding obligation, registration with local agencies, and filing of all local services tax returns.
Collaborate with the IT and Human Resources to optimize setup and configuration of Kronos timekeeping.
Provide excellent customer service to all team members and business partners and stakeholders.
Required Skills for Payroll Analyst:
4 years payroll and payroll tax experience.
Kronos experience.
ADP Enterprise experience.
Tax filing experience with knowledge of federal and state government payroll tax regulations; to include wage garnishments.
Working knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles, practices, and procedures.
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Access, and Word.
Strong communication, leadership, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Self-motivated, independent, and can be their own boss.
