Security Analyst to join one of our top healthcare clients in Austin, TX! The security analyst will assist with the evaluation, development, management, reporting, research and day-to-day operations of the security posture in the enterprise healthcare environment. APPLY TODAY! Responsibilities:- Assist with designing, developing, and implementing enterprise level security systems and strategy
- Analyze network and infrastructure problems and develops solution-focused recommendations
- Perform vendor management and oversight as needed
- Partner with colleagues to serve as a Subject Matter Expert to effectively identify and communicate security risks and assist with implementation projects
- Provide hardware and software support on installed security systems to include the configuration, maintenance, and updates for the platforms
- Monitor and manage system capabilities, availability, and performance against overall Service Level Agreements (SLAs) criteria including reporting of capacity, utilization, trending and forecasting
- Conduct research and analysis of new tools, technologies, and techniques for the enhancement of existing security solutions and to fulfill new system requirements
- Verify and ensure the infrastructure meets the primary IT security of objectives and be able to provide guidance and recommendations for better security practices
- Participate in maintenance and incident response functions and respond promptly to network and system problems
- Create and document processes and procedures
- Provide regular status and project updates to leadership including regular trends and statistics related to systems and overall health and metrics of the current infrastructure
- Proven capacity to perform with close attention to detail and accuracy
- This position requires work outside of standard business hours, on occasion, the ability to work evenings, weekends and holidays
- Have strong customer service skills
- Perform other tasks as directed by Security Engineer and leadership
Top Skills:- 5+ years of professional experience in an enterprise environment as a security analyst
- Experience in technical troubleshooting and problem solving and providing guidance to others in T1 and T2
- Experience in a customer-facing, service-oriented roles
- Experience with incident management and incident escalations as well as Incident Response Plans
- Experience with deploying, managing and troubleshooting applications, systems and software
- Experience managing virtual and physical assets in an enterprise environment
- Experience creating and maintaining technical documentation such as KB’s, SOPs and policies as required
- CISSP or CompTIA Security+
Nice to Have:- Experience working in a technical role dealing with operating systems, software, and networking equipment and security systems (EDR/SIEM)
- Experience working in a healthcare environment and dealing with HIPAA compliance
- Experience working in a cross-functional team with multiple areas of responsibility
- Experience with enterprise security tools such Mimecast, SentinelOne, AlienVault, Tenable Nessus, Phishing campaigns, YubiKeys
- Broad understanding of healthcare enterprise infrastructure, systems, applications and operational requirements
