IDR is seeking a SRE to join one of our top clients for an opportunity in Raleigh, NC. This role involves implementing and maintaining reliable, scalable systems within a financial services environment. The company is focused on leveraging advanced technology to support secure and efficient systems operations.
Position Overview for the SRE:
- Manage and improve system reliability through automation, scripting, and infrastructure as code practices
- Collaborate with engineering and business teams to ensure system visibility and performance metrics are maintained
- Handle incident diagnosis, resolution, and post-mortem activities to prevent future outages
- Implement and track SLIs, SLOs, and SLAs with a focus on reducing toil and enhancing system stability
- Work in a fast-paced environment with a proactive approach to identifying opportunities for system improvements
Requirements for the SRE:
- Proven expertise in Site Reliability Engineering, with a background in software engineering, infrastructure, or operations
- Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (e.g. Azure), operating systems (e.g. Linux RHEL7+, Windows 2019+), and networking fundamentals
- Solid understanding of networking and storage technologies (e.g. NFS, SAN, NAS)
- Strong working knowledge of authentication and naming services (e.g. DNS, LDAP, Kerberos, Centrify)
- Proficiency in scripting and automation (e.g., Python, Go, Bash)
