IDR is seeking a Support Technician to join one of our top clients for an opportunity in Austin, Texas. This role is within a department focused on transitioning to managed desktop infrastructure, providing advanced end-to-end technical support for end-user hardware, software, and application requests.
Position Overview for the Support Technician:
- Provide advanced tech support and handle escalated issues
- Support complex hardware, software, and application problems
- Triage issues and act as Tier 1/2 escalation point
- Administer support via Microsoft Active Directory
- Perform desktop installs/updates using managed services
Requirements for the Support Technician:
- 4+ years providing professional technical customer service to users
- 4+ years installing and maintaining hardware and/or software for desktop systems
- 4+ years scheduling, documenting, and closing work orders via support software
- Able to troubleshoot all computer and printer problems
- Ability to set up and maintain A/V equipment
