IDR is seeking a
Systems Engineer to join one of our top clients in
Arlington, TX. This person will be joining a team of data center engineers as the primary virtualization support engineer.
Position Overview:The Systems Engineer will be responsible for the provisioning, installation, configuration, operation, and maintenance of the virtual environment and related infrastructure components. This position requires expertise in virtualization (VMware), hardware management, and hyperconverged infrastructure (HCI).
Top Skills:- 5+ years of experience with VMware architecture - designing, planning, configuration, and administration including upgrades and lifecycle management & storage and network administration
- 5+ years of deep knowledge of VMware technologies, including: vSphere/ESXi, vCenter Server, and vSAN
- 2+ years of experience working in hyperconverged infrastructure (HCI)
- 2+ years of experience working with Isolated Sites & Air-Gapped Networks, DMZ Configuration & Management
Nice to Have:- Experience with VMware Clusters and Stretched Clusters (or highly available redundant clusters - 2 data centers virtually meshed)
- NAS Storage Technologies - Dell PowerScale is highly preferred
- Dell environment experience, or other 3rd party hardware
- A virtual administration certificate or training in VMware and/or VXRail environments
